Who is this for?

The IsoKinder screening is for children aged 5 to 7 years. It is a game-based screening of foundational learning skills — memory, attention, reasoning, visual and auditory processing, and early numeracy. It is not a diagnosis and does not label your child. The game is available in English, Kannada, Hindi and Tamil.

What happens on the day

  • Arrive at the IsoKinder Office with your child at your booked date and time. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early to allow time to settle in.
  • If you do not arrive within 15 minutes of your booked slot, it will be considered a no-show.
  • A facilitator helps your child settle in and walks them through the game.
  • Your child plays the game on a tablet in two parts of roughly 15 minutes each.
  • We recommend that parents wait outside the room. If you stay, please do not prompt, hint, or answer for your child.
  • Available in English, Kannada, Hindi and Tamil — you choose in the next step.

Do's and don'ts

Do

  • Make sure your child is well rested and has eaten.
  • Tell your child they will be playing a game. (Avoid using the word "tablet.")
  • Bring your child's glasses or hearing aids if they use them.
  • Keep your booking reference handy.

Don't

  • Don't coach or practise for the screening beforehand.
  • Don't bring your child if they are unwell — email us to reschedule.
  • Don't describe it as a test or exam to your child.
  • Don't prompt or correct your child during the game.

What you receive

A printed report on the day and a PDF copy by email. The report shows how your child did in each cognitive area, in plain language, with suggested next steps. If any area is flagged, IsoKinder will connect you with assessment centres for further evaluation.
